Alohas Footwear was founded in 2015 in Honolulu, Hawaii

by current CEO, Alejandro Porras after being inspired by seeing locals react to his Avarcas, a popular type of sandal from Menorca, Spain, known for their simplicity and style.

When building the brand, it was essential to Porras that Alohas had a unique take on production and design that put sustainability at the core of what they do.

Overproduction in fashion is one of the world’s biggest environmental threats. Alohas refuse to make that problem worse.

Alohas pre-order system allows them to accurately anticipate demand levels prior to production, so they only produce the amount of shoes they are going to sell.

Since Alohas launch they have been consistently produced in the coastal region of Alicante, Spain.

With strong and meaningful relationships with their production teams they constantly work together on improving the quality of our products to ensure the the buyer has the best experience.

Producing locally ensures a lower carbon footprint, regular visits to manufacturing facilities by the team to ensure prime labor conditions, and in our case, careful craftsmanship by trusted artisans.
